Why We Built PEIKO WORLD — Our First Translation Earphones

The problem we kept running into
Before Peiko had a name, we traveled constantly. Every trip had the same friction: you open a translation app, hold your phone between you and a taxi driver, a hotel clerk, or a supplier — and the moment feels awkward before it even starts.
We wanted hardware you could wear — something that stayed out of the way until you needed it.
PEIKO WORLD: our first translation earphone
When PEIKO WORLD launched in 2017, we focused on what still defines the product today:
- 136 languages for real-time voice interpretation
- Wireless in-ear design for hands-free translation on the move
- ByteEngine Translator as the companion app for pairing, updates, and translation
- Lightweight, comfortable fit for travel, business, and everyday communication

Model BTLT10 was built for people crossing language barriers in real situations — airports, shops, meetings — not demo stages.
What early users taught us
By 2018, word of mouth helped Peiko pass 50,000 users. That same year we released BTM-223, our second-generation translation earphone with an ear-hook design — same 136-language support, evolved for active use.
The stories that stuck were human: a daughter speaking to her grandmother in another language for the first time, or a small business owner negotiating at a trade fair without a separate interpreter.
The best technology disappears into the moment you're trying to have.
Still the foundation
Every Peiko translator since — BTM-223, TRBOX 01, TRBOX 02, TRBOX X9 — builds on the same idea from PEIKO WORLD: help people talk to each other, with hardware and software that stay practical in daily use.
